Last night we had the luxury of not having to make dinner. Pop actually made chili, and it was pretty good. He only used half of the ground beef we got for it, which was only 4% fat anyways, and we had fat-free sour cream and soy cheese on it. We also had some Baked Doritos, which are almost as good as regular ones because there's so much cheese-flavored coating on them. And let's face it, that's all we really care about with Dorito's anyways, right?

I'm wondering if maybe Pop is coming around to the whole diet thing after all. Last night, he said that next time he makes chili, he's thinking about making it meatless. That is a huge turnaround from the last time he made chili when he complained that hamburger didn't have enough fat in it nowadays. Or maybe he figures since there's so little fat in the meat, it's not even worth it to bother putting it in. Either way, it's still good for us, since it means one less of battle over a fatty food.
